In the summer months, you can hire a boat or go on a boat tour and enjoy a picnic along the way.
The River Thames is always popular- you can start at Shakespeare's Globe and stroll along the Queen’s Walk to Big Ben and back.
4. Sample the “local” cuisine
All this exploring can work up an appetite- time to try out some of the Farringdon restaurants.
Farringdon is home to some of London's best restaurants and there is food from all over the world- so be sure to treat yourself to a meal out while you're in the neighbourhood.

6. Shop till you drop on Leather Lane Market
Leather Lane Market is a bit misleading. It’s a mix between a farmer’s market and a flea market.
It’s the perfect place to pick up bargains, your weekly fresh groceries, flowers, and delicious street food.
From clothes and accessories to homewares and souvenirs, you're sure to find something you'll love.
7. Visit the Museum of London
We’ve all been hare, but imagine living so close you can head over every weekend, see every new exhibition, and take your time learning about our great city… one of the many reasons we love Farringdon!
With exhibitions on everything from the Great Fire of London to the Blitz, there's plenty to see and do here.

St Paul's Cathedral is one of London's most iconic landmarks. Take a tour of the building and learn about its fascinating history.

The original cathedral was actually destroyed in the Great Fire but was rebuilt from scratch (thankfully!). Now it’s yours to enjoy and appreciate.
10. Visit the Charterhouse (Yes, it’s open to the public!)
Only recently opened to the public, not many people know of this wonderful place to spend afternoons.
Charterhouse is a great place to enjoy the beauty of a traditional English garden and to learn about the history of the house and London, with some interesting archaeological finds from the excavations for Crossrail displayed here.
Charterhouse Street is also worth exploring as it’s home to some of the best restaurants in Farringdon. It’s also the border between Islington and Camden Borough.
